Village Hall

Posted on by

Ash village hall, together with  the associated recreation area –  the Bradbury, the bowling club, childrens play area and car park – is owned and run as a registered charity. The charity trustees are all local volunteers.
The hall is a lovely Edwardian red brick building which is integral to the local character in the centre of the Village. The Charity receives a small annual donation from the parish council (equivalent to approx. 1⁄8 minimum necessary to keep basic services at the hall) but otherwise maintaining and running the village hall and recreation area is reliant on the income received from bookings and hiring of the hall, and from income that is raised by organising our own fundraising events.
We are really keen to maintain that Ash village hall and recreation area is well used and remains as a vital asset in our rural community but this can only happen with your help and support!

If you want to get involved but don’t want to join a committee we always appreciate extra help; we are looking for anyone who can give a little time to keep our recreation area & village hall clean and tidy, fundraise or organise an event. If you have some ideas for what you would like to see happen locally contact us.
